The York area is made up of four unique areas York Village, York Harbor, York Beach, and Cape Neddick. And like we've saying, there's something for everyone, all within minutes from The Anchorage Resort. From beaches and boating to Maine's largest zoo and amusement park, it's all waiting outside your door.

York is also known for its history, as the first chartered English city in North America in 1641. Sites to explore include the Old Gaol, Jefferd's Tavern and The Old School House. In York Harbor, whale watching, fishing, and scenic cruises are all easily accessible. The Cliff walk borders York Harbor and with its spectacular view of the ocean is an easy hike for the active visitor.

Of couse, there is the Cape Neddick lighthouse, knows as Nubble Light to the locals, just outside your window.
